MoonLook has partnered with FashionAFRICANA to present the first FestivalAFRICANA, a virtual celebration of contemporary African creativity. 

This series of programs created to magnify the talents of African creatives gives the public a glimpse of African culture through fashion and design.

The first of the series which will return every quarter, will take place from October 17 to 18 in a virtual format on

Highlights will include:

<br>• The broadcast of "There's no place like home"  a short film featuring Ghanaian creators - shot along the narrow streets of Cape Coast, Ghana - followed by commentary from the production team and Saran Koly 

<br>• The broadcast of "Shapers" a documentary on creativity in Ghana through the prism of women  that shape the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industries

<br>• Performance live from Ghanaian artist and singer, Worlasi

<br>• African dance class with artist Elizabeth Efua Sutherland



FestivalAFRICANA is carried by three black women:

Demeatria Boccella, philanthropy professional and founder of FashionAFRICANA, based in Pittsburgh;

Nelly wandji, producer, gallery owner, specialist in brands and international trade, founder of MoonLook based in Paris

Saran Koly, London-based, multi-faceted Pan-African artist, writer and creative director.

The theme of FestivalAFRICANA's first opus is " There's no place like home ”, There is no place like home.

They are part of global conversations, while remaining authentic, proud of their heritage, their traditions and revive centuries-old know-how in the DNA of their brands. Discover our selection of 15 actors from the Ghanaian creative scene from fashion to culture to beauty and design.





They represent more than half of the continental population and play a central role in the creative sectors, we gave a voice to women. They tell us in a documentary their inspirations, their process of conception and realization: how they shape the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industries.  They each express themselves through their discipline and their unique experiences.
